Peaceful Protest Planned for Downtown Erie

A peaceful protest is planned for downtown Erie this Saturday.

City officials initially cancelled the event, then told organizers they would have to wait to hold the protest, citing covid-19 related issues and concerns over last weekend’s riots.

Bishop Dwayne Brock says organizers came to a mutual agreement with the mayor and the chief of police.

The silent march is expected to start at noon at 11th and State Street and is expected to last about an hour.
