There are new questions as to whether Those 31 new Coronavirus cases reported Saturday, a record breaking one-day number, are what they first appeared to be.
the state health department says the unusually high number was due to a backload of cases reported by one of the state’s commericial labs.
County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper says the data is not accurate, and should not be used to hold Erie County back from going green.
According to the county, the total of 31 cases includes 10 cases on Friday, 15 cases on Saturday and 6 on Sunday, and not a one day spike.
