Erie police are keeping a watchful eye on Mayor Schember after the mayor received threats on social media following the recent riots in downtown Erie.
Police cruisers have been stationed outside the mayor’s home and are patrolling his neighborhood.
Schember, who is 69 years old, continues to work from home during the pandemic as a precaution because of his age and because of treatment following prostate cancers surgery early this year.
