The BASF Corporation announced Tuesday that it will close its Erie manufacturing facility sometime next year.
The closure of the Erie facility will affect approximately 75 employees.
The East avenue Plant produces process catalysts used primarily in the petrochemical industry.
In a statement, BASF said most production operations will cease by the end of 2020, but The facility will continue to fulfill confirmed customer requests through the first quarter of 2021.
