A car caught fire following a crash on West Lake Road last night.
State police say the crash happened just after 6:30 in the 6800 block of West Lake Road in Fairview township. The car went over an embankment, coming to rest in a wooded area. the vehicle then reportedly caught on fire.
The driver took off following the incident, though police eventually caught up with him.
Fire crews from Fairview and Lake Shore quickly extinguished the blaze. the car had to be towed out of the woods.
