A major resurfacing project on Route 5 has begun.
The $2.5 million dollar project covers over six miles of Route 5 in Millcreek Township and the City of Erie.
it also includes 6 and a half miles of roadway from Asbury Road in Millcreek Township to the intersection with Pittsburgh Avenue in the City of Erie.
The project’s goal is to provide a smoother ride for motorists on this stretch of roadway.
There are no detours expected with this project.
Work is expected to be completed by late August
