A Back the Blue police rally and motorcycle event will be held on Saturday in North East Township.
The event was organized by Erie County Councilman Brian Shank. Shank had initally organized a rally in Perry Square in late June, but postponed the event after Mayor Schember requested that he do so.
Shank says the event is being held at Gravel Pit Park because the city of Erie is not issuing any permits for events at Perry Square due to COVID-19 concerns.
The event, which is open to the public, is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Gravel Pit Park, on west Main Street.
