Erie Woman Facing Attempted Homicide Charges

An Erie woman is facing attempted homicide charges for allegedly firing at police officers.

The charges stem from an incident Monday night on East 23rd street between Parade and Wallace. An Erie police officer says he was getting out of his cruiser when he heard a gunshot, and a bullet went by his head.

Police spotted a woman running from a home. when they pursued her, she reportedly fired another shot.

The woman, identified as 35 year old Holly Galbraith, faces three counts of attempted homicide, six counts of aggravated assault, assaulting law enforcement and robbery.

Police say she also fired the gun inside the home.
