Around 20 Erie entertainment venues and other businesses were illuminated with red lights last night, in an effort to encourage congress to pass the Restart Act.
Supporters say the restart act would provide much-needed assistance for the live-entertainment industry and other businesses devastated by the coronavirus pandemic.
The event included more than 1600 venues across the nation.
Among those taking part locally last night were the Warner Theater, Mercyhurst and Gannon Universities, Erie Philharmonic, Erie Playhouse, the Erie Art Museum, and Kellars Magic & Comedy Club.
