Senate Investigation Documents Postal Service Delays

U.S. Sen. Bob Casey says new findings in a Senate investigation have documented significant U.S. Postal Service delivery delays for mail order prescription drugs -- delays that he says could even be life-threatening for some.

The report shows increases in prescription mail delivery times of 18% to 32% on average and that a delivery that used to take one to two days can take up to three to four days.

Casey says, "For some people with chronic conditions, sometimes a delay of even hours can make a difference, let alone a day or two or longer.”
