Former Erie Mayor Joe Sinnott was injured in a weekend motorcycle accident.
The accident happened during a memorial ride Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Routes 98 and 6 in Elk Creek Township. Sinnott lost control of his motorcycle on loose gravel.
Sinnott suffered cuts to the left side of his head, abrasions on his shoulder and face, and an injury to one of his fingers.
Dr. Brad Fox was riding his motorcycle behind Sinnott and stopped to help him.
Sinnott was reportedly not wearing a helmet.
