Highly Regarded Erie Artist and Art Educator has Died

One of Erieā€™s most highly regarded artists and art educators has died.

Vitus j. Kaiser died Wednesday at his west Erie home. He was 91.

Kaiser was a watercolor artist and commercial art teacher.

He worked at Erie Forge and Steel for more than a decade as director of its printing department. He later began teaching commercial art at Tech Memorial High School in 1970.

Kaiserā€™s work often focused on landscapes.
