Erie City Council last night held a virtual public hearing on the proposed expansion of the Bayfront Parkway, and more than 120 Erie residents spoke out.
Some spoke in favor of the plan, pointing out the importance of improved pedestrian access.
but others said the plan needs more study and design work before it should move forward.
Penndot says construction on the Bayfront project could begin in 2022. The project would be completed in 2023 once a plan is in place.
also at last night’s hearing were Bayfront area businesses like UPMC, Erie Insurance, the Erie Downtown Partnership, and Scott Enterprises.
