A student at Fairview Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19.
The diagnosis was confirmed Thursday in an email from Fairview School District Superintendent Erik Kincade in an email to families of students.
Kincade said A targeted cleaning within the school IS underway, and the contact tracing process has begun for the student.
Kincade says upon learning of the positive case Thursday, district officials immediately contacted the Erie County Department of Health and followed guidance issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
