Erie School Board Approves Hybrid Plan to Send Students Back to Class

The Erie School Board has approved a hybrid plan to send elementary students back to in-person classes.

Beginning November 9th, all Pre-K through 5th graders will go back to school in-person every other week. The plan states that 6th-12th graders will remain 100% remote with a few exceptions.

Students in school will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing.

The in-person and remote classes will run Monday through Thursday. Fridays will be used for deep cleaning of the school and planning time for teachers.

The board also approved a plan to allow more special education students to take in-person classes.
