Erie Police are investigating a fatal shooting Wednesday evening outside of a West Erie convenience store.
Police were called to the area outside the Quick Stop Food Store at 408 West 18th Street just before 5:40 Wednesday. officers arrived to find a 40 year old man who had been shot.
The man was taken in a private vehicle to Saint Vincent Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after 6 pm.
An autopsy is scheduled for later on today.
