Apple unveiled a brand new line of iPhones on Tuesday (September 14). The iPhone 13 is similar in design to the iPhone 12 but comes with a more powerful camera, a bigger battery, and other improvements.
Apple said that there will be four models; the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 Mini, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Apple showcased the new camera, which the company called "our biggest camera advancement ever." The iPhone 13 will include three cameras, a 77mm telephoto camera, a wide-angle camera, and an ultra-wide camera.
"iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini represent a massive leap in camera design with advancements in hardware and computational photography that deliver stunning photos and videos. The new Wide camera, with 1.7 µm pixels, comes with the biggest sensor ever in an iPhone dual-camera system and is capable of gathering 47 percent more light for less noise and brighter results," Apple said.
Apple boasted that the iPhone 13 will get 2.5 more hours of battery life than the iPhone 12, while the iPhone Mimi will get an additional 1.5 hours of battery life compared to its counterpart.
The new phones will also feature improved 5G performance to maximize speed as phone companies continue to expand their 5G networks across the country.
The iPhone 13 will start at $799, while the iPhone 13 Mini will retail for $699. The iPhone 13 Pro will cost $999, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max will cost $1099.
The phones will be available for pre-order on September 17 and will begin shipping on September 24.
