20 Injured, 3 Severe, After Bus Overturns On Busy US Highway

Twenty people were injured, including three in severe conditions, after a bus overturned on a California highway near Running Springs, about 70 miles east of Los Angeles, Sunday (November 9) night, the San Bernardino County Fire Department confirmed in a post shared on its X account.

The department confirmed that the accident took place along State Route 330 (Hwy 330) in the Fedalba neighborhood in Running Springs in its initial X post regarding the accident.

" Re-triage has upgraded three patients to Immediate status. Treatment and Transportation groups have been established with first patients already enroute to area hospitals. Additional resources include @SanBernardinoNF @bigbearfiredept RunningSprings Fire, Arrowbear Fire, and AMR," the department wrote.

A total 36 people, "including adults and teens," were reported to be onboard the bus at the time of the crash, which took place just prior to 9:00 p.m. local time, KTLA reports.

" Incident command terminated, units being released. Aboard the bus were a total of 36 persons, including adults and teens. A total of 20 patients were transported, including three with severe injuries. The remainder of the passengers suffered minor injuries and were not transported or reported no injury at all. Highway 330 remains closed in both directions until further notice," San Bernardino County Fire wrote in its update shared at 11:01 p.m. local time.
